Finishing up my Baker’s Dozen layouts here. Really enjoyed this class and being so productive. I couldn’t keep this pace up all the time, but loved making 13 layouts in a month.

This was a compare and contrast layout. Papers are by Amanda Lee from Polka Dot Potato’s Summer 08 kit.

And finally a layout about me. There is hidden journaling under the paper squares. Nothing secret, just about my roles and favorite things to do right now. Papers are from Jessica Sprague’s Strawberry Lemonade freebie from Creating Keepsakes.

And finally, my photo group is having their first challenge this week. The theme was Red, White, and Blue. Here is my effort entitled “Freedom”.

This picture has so many levels of meaning for me. Of course there is the obvious freedom represented here, but also the freedom of childhood – something we are striving to give our children, something I am reading and studying so much about to make sure we do it right, and they get the time they need to play and grow. Also, there is the idea that we live in a country where we are free to choose what we feel is best for our own kids – things like homeschooling and slowing down the pressures to grow up too quickly.

Happy Independence Day! Enjoy your freedoms.
