It’s a rainy, stormy morning here in Alabama and so far the kids are sleeping in.

Dad got home on Saturday. We were all so very, very, very happy to see him. (If I were practice strong writing I would say, “We were all ecstatic to see him.” but it isn’t yet 8:00 am here.) Love having him back to snuggle with, play with the kids (they missed him so), and he has even done a few loads of laundry since he has been home. I’ve told you what a great guy he is, right?

And without further ado, here is my final assignment for my photo class. It is a photo essay entitled “Man eating beast”

I was pretty happy with the way it turned out. I can nitpick anything I shoot, but I am just calling this one good.

I did learn quite a bit from photo class, but most of all I learned that I really just need to take more photos. I don’t need anymore classes right now. I honestly knew about 80% of the material she presented. I just need the practice – which I don’t always have time for. And I need to practice in ways that will stretch my skills. (experiment with lighting and techniques, etc.) To that end, I have joined an online photo critique group. Look for my weekly challenge photos from there.

Am behind on my Baker’s Dozen layouts. Hope to catch up tomorrow. Olivia and I are going to see Wall-E on a girls’ date to the matinee. John is staying with a sitter and taking a nap. I think O will relish the one-on-one time.

P.S. – for those who are wondering. Still pretty much no bottle. He got offered some water last night, but he wasn’t interested.
