Hi everyone! Hope this Monday finds you well. We are trying to pull out of our post-turkey slump around here and gear-up for a trip to Disney World this month. Which is why the Amazon Kindle Cyber Monday sale is so serendipitous. I was looking for some fresh audio books to play in the van on our trip.

What I love about many of these Kindle books is the ability to add Whispersync Audio to them for an extremely reduced price. So take advantage of the low Kindle price from the sale and then add the professional audio book for not much more. Considering that audio books usually cost upwards of $15 you really can’t beat this deal.

And remember, you do not need a Kindle to read these books. They can be read with free reader’s through the app store of your favorite device. The Whispersync audio app is free as well.

Here are a few on the list that are note-worthy

Mr. Popper’s Penguins (Kindle Book $1.99. Whispersync Audio $2.99) – Olivia loves this audio book and has listened to it repeatedly. For under $5 you get both the book and audio — a steal.

Strawberry Girl (Kindle Book $1.99. Whispersync Audio $.99) – This one was a favorite of mine as a girl. I can’t wait to share it with the kids!

The Boxcar Children  (Kindle Book $.99. Whispersync Audio $2.99) – I think this one would be a good one for Olivia to listen to and read along.

If you have a Boxcar Children fan, many of the Kindle books are on sale.

Out-of-Print Gems

These two cherished Tomie dePaola books are out of print and used copies will run you almost $30. Now for $1.99 each you can have your own Kindle copy of these. I am so excited because I have wanted copies for years and have not been willing to pay the used prices.

In fact, there are quite a few Tomie dePaola audio and Kindle books available for great prices to round out your collection.

And if you would like to browse the remainder of the selections on sale, you can start at the Amazon Cyber Monday Kindle Deals page and go from there.

Now I am off to make my purchases and finish sweeping the kitchen floor. (Does a good sale ever stop your housework?) What do you see that you want to get? Do share!
