Lent is upon us with its own rhythms and traditions. Also, don’t miss the fun feast days that break up the long fast.

Food And Family Themes In March
Soft pretzels are a family favorite here. Don’t skip the step of boiling them in baking soda for that caramel color.
- New spring menus – dust off those tired winter menus and add some seasonal favorites into the mix.

- National Pancake Day (1) – Make a variety of pancakes (plain, chocolate chip, blueberry) with fun toppings (whip cream, strawberries, peanut butter)

- Popcorn Lovers Day (10) – Read The Popcorn Book and try some fun popcorn flavorings.

March Field Trips For Your Homeschool Study
The weather is getting more pleasant. It’s time to get outside and explore the world around you.
- Visit the botanical gardens to see new buds and early blooms.
- Take a trip to your local plant nursery and buy some seeds.
- Is there a farm near you? This is a great time to observe new babies and spring planting.
- Check out your local planetarium and see if they have a show that introduces seasonal constellations.
