Apparently the western half of the country has stolen our summer weather. We didn’t even break 90 today. Nice!

Speaking of those in the western half of the country suffering from the heat, Sarah is about 35.5 weeks pregnant with twins this week, and Mary at Better than Eden had the best idea ever. She is hosting Sarah a virtual (twin) baby shower. This is such a fabulous idea and could not be happening to a nicer person. Click on over, gawk at the belly join the fun, and you might even win a prize. Just lovely.

Around the House

The new fence is going in! Matt says he thinks we are picking up about 25 feet on one side. Looking forward to to the bigger yard. The homeschool space redo is also coming along. New furniture is together, and I am starting to fill the space. Maybe by next week I will have you some updated photos.
From the Kitchen
One of my June goals was to complete a meal plan for the month of July. I did it! Now I am in the kitchen prepping and freezing. This weekend was taco meat and lots of muffins. I am not doing a big cooking day, but instead making and then making extra to freeze. Hopefully after about a week of this, the rest of the month will be much easier.
Homeschooling
This has been on hold (for the room redo and the menu prepping) and it is making me nervous. We start before the end of the month, and I need to get it together! At this point it has been on hold so long I can’t even coherently tell you what I need to do. Step one: take stock of where I am!!

On the Blog
A post would be nice. Ideas abound. Time does not.

Plans and Schemes
Not much. We don’t even have plans yet for the Fourth. Pool. Friends. Enjoying the low key and just being together.
Reading and Crafting
My craftiness is all being expended in the school space. As for the reading, I am really enjoying A Mother’s Rule of Life: How to Bring Order to Your Home and Peace to Your Soul at the moment.

Saying Yes
Craft classes at the craft store. Time with friends. Muffins!

A Memory
Thomas got his teeth cleaned for the very first time today! What a big boy he was.
