I’m at the kids’ gymnastics class. Now that T is in Kindergym I have exactly 45 minutes of time to myself each Monday night. It is just about enough time to finish this post.

Around the House
I have been making progress! I got the linen closet cleaned out and hung the decorative plates. Now I can’t remember exactly what else I need to do, so I need to check the list again. I am looking forward to fall and hanging up all the autumn decorations. Still a little too early as it mostly feels like summer here. We did get some cooler nights (low 60s) and low humidity days here. Love those.

From the Kitchen
I made a menu this week and I’m sticking to it. Too many deserts lately, though. But nothing new, fancy, or noteworthy at the moment.

Homeschooling
We are just rolling right along. It’s hard to believe we are starting our seventh week of school, but we are. Things are going well — not always easy, but really well. We also started our first class of Classical Conversations today. We have a small group, but I think we are really going to like it.

On the Blog
Hope you have been enjoying our Trip Around the World series. I also want to get up a post about what is working and what has already fizzled this year. Over the next few weeks I am planning posts on our circle time, working Classical Creations into our day, and some about our science. And another Circle Time Virtues post is coming too!

Fitness
I am taking a break this week because I am gearing up for a big push in diet and fitness. I was tired of working out hard and doing a reasonably good job with my diet and not losing a stinkin’ pound. So I’ve recruited a friend, and we are going to support each other through 17 Days of Hell  The 17 Day Diet. Which is basically The South Beach Diet with some yogurt and fruit servings added in each day. I have done it before, and it works well, but it’s hard for me to stick to it. I want to add 30 Day Shred to that and see if I can find a few more pairs of pants that fit when the 17 days are done. Then we’ll move on to stage 2.

Plans and Schemes
Our weeks are falling into a regular pattern of activities. CC was the last regular thing we had to add. This week we are also doing park day with homeschoolers on Friday. Really looking forward to that.

Reading and Crafting
I started The Read-Aloud Handbook, but haven’t gotten very far with it yet. I also downloaded the pattern for the blanket I wanted to crochet, but haven’t started that one yet either. Tonight, maybe? Negative. Going to shoot for tomorrow.

Saying Yes
We went to the bounce house place with friends last week. They had such a good time playing, and I had a good time talking. Afterwards we went to Chic-Fil-A and had free ice cream. Such fun.

A Memory
Thomas asked me about a month ago where his baby book was. Whoops! So I have been going through pictures to make him book of his very own. Such fun to look back on when he was born and his growth over the first year. Here he was on his first birthday just two years ago.
