Fall has finally arrived. Loving this cooler weather.

Around the House
So since I was cleaning out from under the couch anyway, I decided that I would rearrange the living room furniture. We have a big sectional, which we love, but it limits our furniture arranging. I just flipped it around the other way. I really like it, because I can now see out the window when I sit on it. The big drawbacks are that it is not as good for traffic flow and the part with the recliner no longer sits right in front of the TV. Going to keep it that way for a while, though, just for a change.

From the Kitchen
As I type this (at gymnastics) my new bread maker is making bread at home. I picked it up on Craig’s List for all of $18. It looks brand new. I hope it works great, because I have big plans for it.

Homeschooling
Starting early has been working wonders for us. We had plenty of time and so much fun with our France study last week. We are doing a very relaxed week this week due to Thanksgiving. I told Olivia we would spend some of our time working on Frontier Girls badges, and we may do some Dreambox, audio books, read alouds, and memory work. That sounds about right.

On the Blog
It’s been sparse due to my lessened computer time. I do have a few ideas I would like to share. Hopefully will get some posts done with the relaxed school schedule this week.

Fitness
Pass. If I can get through the holidays with my pants still fitting, I will consider it a success. I always get extra motivated in January. I am counting on it.

Plans and Schemes
Trying to slow down a bit here. I have lots to do tomorrow, but John only has basketball practice. That is our last scheduled event for the week. I have a meeting, a couple of grocery stores to visit, and a movie night out with a friend later this week. Then Thanksgiving at my Mom’s house on Thursday. Yum.

Reading and Crafting
No crafting yet this week. I still owe Olivia a hat I need to get to. I am currently reading Laura Berquist’s Teaching Tips and Techniques at Sarah’s recommendation. It’s good, and I am feeling the need to take notes. Boy I need to read some fiction, but it will take something really compelling to grab me. Any suggestions?

Saying Yes
We rotate our toys, and it us quite an undertaking. I said yes to that this past weekend. It is always a quiet few days after the toy rotation, which is nice.

A Memory
