I’ve decided that Mondays just wear me out!

Around the House
Seasonal clothes swap is 2/3 of the way done. I’ve got one more kid to go!!!

From the Kitchen
Things are starting to cool off here, which means more soups and more baking. Since I am no longer really dieting (see below) I am going to make some waffles this week. Potato soup won’t be far behind.

Homeschooling
The Saxon transition is going well for Olivia. She really likes it. I am working out how to tweak it and make it shorter. There is so much redundancy for one kid — you can tell it was written for a class setting. We really will only have to use it one year before I can move her into the upper-grades Saxon, which is different and written to the student instead of scripted for the teacher.

On the Blog
I have a couple of posts in draft to finish up. A new printable is coming soon! I am also working on a new page that puts all of my downloadble helps in one place.

Fitness
Still not so much. *sigh* I am contemplating setting a goal like a mile a day for a month or something. Thinking about that. I have pretty much lost the weight I wanted to. Pants feel pretty good, but I wouldn’t mind some wiggle room. I wasn’t nearly as successful on cycle 2 of the 17 Day Diet as I was on cycle 1 — maybe 1-2 more pounds. I am contemplating a seven day return to cycle 1 early next month to see if I can lose about 3-4 more pounds.

Plans and Schemes
Busy week. Dentist for the kids on Wednesday. Nature study and Frontier Girls on Thursday and then Thursday night we have the first meeting of our Classical/CM Moms Book Club. We are reading The Core: Teaching Your Child the Foundations of Classical Education this month as our first selection.

Reading and Crafting
Finishing up The Core. Made a couple of rows progress on my gift.

Saying Yes
Bike riding in the front yard. An extra banana muffin. More computer play time. The train ride and duck races at the pumpkin patch.

A Memory
John concentrating hard on a science experiment. Does it taste like apple or not?
