John went all day today with no bottle. This is a biggie. He doesn’t do a paci or his thumb, nor does he have a lovey of any kind. The bottle has pretty much been his security blanket, and honestly, we where using it too much. I didn’t plan to not do a bottle today. We just got distracted when he first woke up so there was no urgency for that first morning fix. Then when he sat down to breakfast I just passed him a sippie of milk instead. As the day wore on I just wanted to see if I could get by without giving him one. And it worked. He sometimes will beat on the fridge or whine until I give him one, but when he got bad today I simply passed him a sippie. He wasn’t crazy about the sippie, but it did distract him enough for us to move on. Fingers crossed that John and mom can keep this up and kick this habit for good.

And, here is my latest layout for Baker’s Dozen. This one is fun. I am embracing the imperfection as my printer cut the bottom closer than what I wanted, but I decided not to use the ink to redo and let it go. Great content that will mean a lot as the years go by. Green paper is from Catch a Rainbow paper pack by Katie Pertiet at Designer Digitals. All other items are traditional.
