I did not receive compensation or free products for this thredUp review — I just really liked my experience. This post does include a referral link. If you order through that link, both you and I will receive a $10 credit towards our order. And thank you for clicking through!

I wrote last month about all the great fun I had with my first Stitch Fix delivery. My next is scheduled for January, and I just can’t wait. If you want, you can sign up to have one Fix a month. Yeah, my husband would have a conniption if I did any such thing. Yours too?

The biggest fun from Stitch Fix comes from the fact that you have your very own personal stylist doing the choosing for you. I have to say, though, a close second to that is the fact that you can shop for clothes without ever leaving your home, which the introvert in me loves. So what I really needed was a way to shop online for something to wear, but at consignment shop prices. And then I heard about thredUp.

Fellow blogger One Catholic Mama turned me on to the idea of online consignment early this month. Intrigued I checked out the site. Imagine my delight to find an attractive and user-friendly site with tons of items searchable by size, type, brand, and style. The photos were attractive and the descriptions clear. I used my $10 referral bonus to make a few purchases, because this really seemed too good to be true.

For $18 including shipping, I scored an Ann Taylor Loft shirt (I’ve been wanting to try stripes!), a red Talbot’s sweater, and a brown pair of J Crew pants. The two tops were marked “Like new” while the pants were described as having a “Teeny Tiny Flaw – minimal fading.”

Then I waited — but not too long.

The items arrived a few days later in attractive polka-dot packaging, wrapped in tissue, and tagged — no shabby shopping experience here. The items were all exactly as describe and pictured, and if those pants were faded, I sure couldn’t see it. The pants are a little snug (seriously — story of my life). That is one of the hazards of shopping without trying on, but I intend to rectify the fit in the new year. And I loved all of my items and have worn the shirts multiple times.

While I am not about to give up the fun of my occasional Stitch Fix and that lovely personal shopper, I think I have found a great way to inexpensively pair and accessorize with my Stitch Fix purchases. I will be returning to thredUp and often. Go check it out. If you use my referral link you can take $10 off your very first order. And let me know what you see over there that you like. I can use all the tips I can get.
