This country was the most frustrating for us art-wise. Olivia got frustrated with our cheap paints with the peacock project and decided not to finish. John’s turned out nicely, though. I am going to have to replace those paints. The modified batik projects, which were really crayon resists, also were a bit of a flop. Olivia drew a lovely picture, but the paint went over it too darkly or the crayon didn’t resist enough. Now you can hardly see it. I felt horrible, because it was a wonderful princess on an elephant with the Taj Mahal in the background.
I am also finding that I am a bit lazy about the cooking I had planned. Maybe it is the fact that I am on a diet, but I need to start working those cooking projects into our days.
