Outside my window… Warm and beautiful, but not fall-like at all. Would love a freak cold-front before this weekend’s trip to the pumpkin patch.

I am thankful…
for a very supportive husband. We have worked the schedule so I can sneak away three nights a week to work out with a friend, and he handles any immediate post-bedtime issues (and there are often a few). I love that man.

I am thinking about…

Baptisms. All three kids will be baptized this Sunday. There are clothes to ready, a house to clean, food to prepare, haircuts to get, etc. I promise to stop and enjoy the beauty of the sacrament when the time comes. Then we return home for a combo birthday dinner/baptism celebration.

Learning all the time…
It’s an off-week. We did math, reading, and handwriting for the first time today. Sometime before the end of the week I want to finish up How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World. Mostly we are pretty low-key this week.
From the kitchen…

Light dinners on exercise nights. Tonight it is chef salads. I am going to rework the menus to accomodate.

I am creating…
a Christmas planning binder and holiday to-do lists.
I am working on…
more decluttering and the great seasonal clothes swap. My list is getting shorter. I will be glad when this yard sale is over.
I am going…
to be productive and not frantic at the last minute. I must.
I am reading…
Firefly Lane — it’s ok getting a little more interesting.

I am praying…
with the kids. I was using my Magnificat everyday for prayers but have fallen out of the habit. I need to get back in there, because I always found a nugget to ponder and it brought me such peace.

I am hearing…
the TV in the background. I should get off the computer and get to work while I have the chance.

Around the house…

disorder is back. And everything has to be put together by Sunday. It never ends.
One of my favorite things…
baby kisses — big open-mouth, wet, sloppy ones. He is very generous and I love it.
A few plans for the rest of the week…
Cleaning, the clothes swap, prep for Sunday, a field trip to the botanical gardens on Friday, our annual pumpkin patch trip on Saturday, then the big day on Sunday!!
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you…
