Journaling:
It’s long been a tradition in Dad’s family that all the kids are measured against the small bedroom door at Uncle Brett’s house. See this used to be Dad’s house when he was growing up and then Uncle Brett bought it and all of his kids grew up there too. Dad, Uncle Bret, Uncle Scott and all future Barnhills have been measured on this wall. The door frame is a mess of penciled lines and tiny names, ages, and measurements.
 

This day it was your turn to be added to the wall and you were happy to comply. You were only two here, but it is fun to note that you were already much taller than cousin Katie was at three years old and not too much shorter than Zane was at three. Obviously your tall genes come from Mom’s side of the family. June 18, 2007
