I am so glad I purchased this. I feel like I’m the queen of buying things that sound great and then never using them because A) they’re harder to implement than I thought, B) I’m too disorganized or C) some combination therein. I’ve been a big fan of the concept of morning time for a little while now but was reluctant to purchase any plans because I figured I could do it myself. I have other good reading lists so what I do need this for? Well I caved and bought it and I’m actually really glad I did. I printed out all the pages & made a little Advent thru Epiphany Binder. I went through the book list to see what I already had, what was at the library, what I might consider purchasing, and what could be a good substitute. Having our iPad and bluetooth speaker at the ready have made things extra nice each morning. This week, we start with the St. Andrew Novena, then we listen to a beautiful hymn that plays thru our speaker. The hymn is easily accessible when logged into this webpage. In fact, all the Advent links I need are in one place. I have another tab open in the iPad for the daily readings from the USCCB. So I’ll click on today’s date and have those played so I can continue getting breakfast or whatever and we can all listen to the readings. My older daughter likes to help with the reading so today she did the beautiful poem by Prudentius. We weren’t able to get all the books on the list so we substituted The Year of the Beautiful Christmas Tree by Gloria Houston and we both loved it and I darn near cried. I really, really appreciate how everything is laid out so clearly, is easy to access. and user friendly. For comparison, I also recently purchased a Nutcracker Unit Study and found it not nearly as well put together as these Morning Time Plans, and not nearly as good a value for my money. I’m actually disappointed in that other purchase but such is life. Whenever the opportunity comes to subscribe to MT Plans for the year, I probably will. Also, I’m not Pam, I’m not related to her and I don’t even know her. Lol.

These are all in my special Christmas binder – a snap to put together (Advent, Christmas, and Advent to Epiphany plans). I have a full selection of activities for my kids to enjoy – they really are a feast. The Nature Explorers Advent book was the beset!! A steal for <$5. It added a whole new dimension to our daily nature walks. My kids loved the red/green comparison, the firs and cones, and I loved the beautiful, gentle focus on starting Advent with the wreath and the Scriptures. We also loved the music selections; Messiah is a must-appreciate! I use all the book lists, and love the simplicity of the prayers and poems. This treat for me turned into a treat for my family. Thank you!

My kids and I really enjoyed the Advent morning time plans. It added much depth to our morning basket, helped us focus on Christ all through December and we discovered some new picture books that we really enjoyed. We plan on doing this morning time again next year and have plans to do the Easter and Lent ones now!
