I have been wiped out all week with a nasty head cold. Don’t you just hate a summer cold? In the meantime, school is in full swing (I am soldiering on.) and the calendar has changed to a new month. So it is time to report on my July goals and make some new ones for August.

July goals:

  • Finish flash cards.
  • Finish home lesson plans.
  • Set up learning space.
  • Write own version of mother’s rule and put into practice. – I have been working on this at adoration, but missed this week due to my cold. I have a few more things to finish up.
  • Finish co-op lesson plans. – I have decided I will never be totally done with this until we are done with co-op, but I feel good about where we are starting next week. The bones are in place.
  • Begin big sell-off and purge of unneeded items.
  • Purge kids’ toys. –  I’ve got a couple more donations to make from the garage.
  • Begin rearranging upstairs space into play room.
  • Make August menu plan.
So not too shabby for progress, but I am excited to get started on August.

August goals:

  • Finish own version of mother’s rule and put into practice.
  • Finish student folders for past two years.
  • Purge and re-organize kitchen.
  • Purge and re-organize master bedroom closet.
  • Purge and re-organize master bath.
  • Purge and re-organize paperwork.
  • Limit Diet Coke consumption to one-a-day.
  • Implement new chore charts with kids.
  • Blog three times a week.
I’ll be back later this month and report on how I am doing.
