PinIt’s Making it Count Tuesday! Every week, Sarah and I are co-hosting the Making it Count Tuesday link-up. Start with any one of those fabulous ideas you have found online. Then, do it. Make it. Cook it. Create it. Take it from the screen, give it life and let it bless your world. When you’re done, snap a photo, write about it and share it with us. Sarah is hosting this week, so head on over to link-up.  Make your time online count.

Welcome to our very first Making it Count. I am so glad you are here.

I first saw this beautiful spring wreath deep in the dark days of Lent. I knew immediately that I wanted to make it, because it was so fun and fresh at the same time. I love green. I love fur. I love daisies with little pink centers.

Like Lent, though, it was not going to be easy. First, the link I found went to a Japanese-style Pinterest website with no original link. No help there as my Japanese is a bit rusty. So I did some Googling and was able to pull up the original link complete with tutorial and helpful hints. Then my mom and I had quite a bit of trouble finding the green fun fur. She finally located some about five hours away (yes, she was going anyway) at our fifth stop.

I finished two of these on Easter Sunday while lunching with the family. The hardest part was wrapping (and wrapping, and wrapping, and wrapping) all the fur. Then I lazed out a bit and didn’t bother finding the ribbon for it. I should — really, but sometimes good enough just has to be, well, enough. Instead I just plopped it on my wreath hanger and called it done.

And I still like it, so that’s enough for me.
