Today someone was so awake. He was awake when we got there and stayed that way a while, took a little snooze, and then woke again before we left. He sucked on his fingers, discovered his hands, stared into our eyes, and got easily distracted by lights. Very cool.

Talked at length to the nurse practitioner. T is doing so well with the feeds (yay!) that they are moving him to bottle feeding at every feed. Now the heart rate issue is crucial to his coming home. She still feels that it is reflux related and says that it sometimes takes four days or so for the meds to begin working so she is giving them another two days. If he is still dropping the heart rate after that, she will try Prilosec instead.

Please continue to pray that the heart rate issue will resolve so we can get this little guy home. And thank you so much for your prayers already. Everyday people tell us that they are praying and it means so much. God’s hand is in the good things we have experienced.
