Outside my window…
High 80s and humid. Par for the course for this time of year, but not too bad. I keep thinking it could be much worse. And the high for Sunday is supposed to be 78. Got my fingers crossed for that one.
for my beautiful children.
GQueues and how to use it for lesson planing. It’s all Elizabeth’s fault. I just started actually writing out my lessons beforehand, and I do think it is helping me be more organized. (I used to just keep everything in my head and write it afterward – I know, I know.) Now that planning ahead seems to be the way to go, I was going to try something like Scholaric (and still might) but GQueues looks really interesting too. I have never been able to justify the cost of the SCM planner, but the price on GQueues is perfect.
It’s fill the freezer time. Almost everything I have made in the past week has been a double batch. I have put up baked ziti, minestrone, beans, breakfast sandwiches, breakfast burritos, waffles, mac-n-cheese, and chicken noodle soup. Still to come this week is vegetable lasagna and chicken pot pie.
a fun and peaceful space for our family to play and learn together. We have been working hard on the family room the past few days and most things are now in place on our new Ikea storage. There are a couple more little projects and I should be ready to post some pictures. The kids and I did school up here the past two days, and Matt and I have been up here at night was well. Loving this spot.
I am reading…
for a friend’s father-in-law. Home-sellers.
Matt run the drill. He is adding an extension to the slot car table in the family room. Now that everything is off of it and put away, he is anxious to get the track together. I am still not sure how we are going to keep the kids out of this…
Fall decorations are going up. Love that!
Having a place for everything. As I collected things downstairs today I often thought, “I know exactly where that goes upstairs.” And then I would take it up and put it away instead of letting it collect in a big pile on the counter or bottom of the stairs.
A few plans for the rest of the week…
Faith formation tomorrow night. Homeschool group celebrates the Feast of the Archangels on Friday. Low key weekend. I think we might be entertaining this weekend — which will be nice. Means I HAVE to clean house this week.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you…
Just another day at the office. I love my job. |
