2003BK (before kids)

Found this photo the other day and my first thought was, “My how young and relaxed we look!” I immediately felt a little guilty, because there was a brief longing for the lifestyle we led when this photo was taken. See this photo was taken 2003 BK (before kids). It was our ninth anniversary. We had no plans except for a day off, so when we woke up we decided on a day out at the zoo, at the mall, at restaurants, just the two of us in and out of the car quickly with no diaper bags, no drama, our own time table, our own agenda. *sigh*

I. Love. My. Kids. I wouldn’t change the way things are now for anything. But when I see photos like this sometimes I miss these days. If that makes me a bad mom, well then so-be-it. I think one day they will understand what I mean.
