Outside my window…
Beautiful late autumn day. Temps were around 70. Cold is coming later this week. I am glad it dips in occasionally to keep it seasonal around here.

I am thankful…
my husband in home again. Drill weekends are not my favorite. *sigh*

I am thinking about…

Christmas gifts. Got all of them but one purchased online. Now waiting on the shipping. And then the wrapping. I think we chose well this year. Should be lots of happy little folks on Christmas and a few months later too (the real test).

Learning all the time…

We had a fabulous and productive week — the whole week long. Can’t wait to repeat it next week.

From the kitchen…
Ugh. Been doing really poorly on Weight Watchers. Must get back on the wagon. I’m excited about some changes WW is making to their plan that I think may help the time-challenged like myself. Of course right now I have a powerful craving for Chili’s chips and salsa (and I wouldn’t turn down the margarita either). The popcorn I had earlier just didn’t cut it.

I am creating…
A new blog. This one will be a project journal for me. I think this will be the best way for me to journal our learning — I hope. Time will tell. More to come on this.

I am working on…

a fun new Linky with a friend. To be introduced after the first of the year. Shhhhh don’t let her know I gave a hint.

I am reading…

Lots of Christmas books to the kids. Still working on Teaching Your Child to Love Learning and First Grade Diary. I really need some fun fiction.

I am praying…
the St. Andrew Christmas Novena. I have it on good authority that it is powerful. I have a powerful intention, so I am raising it up every day.

I am hearing…
Sunday Night Football. And the dog licking — does that drive anyone else absolutely nuts? Matt doesn’t understand why I hate that sound so much, but it is a major peeve of mine.

Around the house…

House cleaning plan #357. I have great faith that this one might work. Oh, and I’ve lost my Canon battery charger. This is not a good time of year not to have access to one’s camera. Must find that this week.

One of my favorite things…

Pan Am. I really like that show and have missed it the past two weeks. It is recording right now! Such fun. Such fluff. Such cool clothes.

A few plans for the rest of the week…
Feast Days! Shopping for baking goodies and then actually starting the Christmas baking. The park, gymnastics, final art class, homeschool friends, and some fun and a Christmas tree this weekend.
